There's also Wes and Mark from Zanzabar. Michelle has sung with them a few times.

New Deal Swing is another awesome band

They were getting some serious props from out-of-towners. The only concern I heard was that there were a lot of beginners/intermediate dancers that couldn't handle the tempo safely.

bah! They'd get used to it if they danced to it often enough and would improve a lot faster. Besides, they probably had a lot more fun than dancing to other stuff.

Part of the problem with the fast tempo's was the slick floor in the Grand building of the fair grounds. We need to take a dust mop to it next year. But I don't have any problem bringing them back. I think I danced to every song they played this year.

Yeah, a slick floor is a problem.

Learning how to balance your body weight is the best solution.

But yeah, floors can still be too slick. We don't want people to get injured.

That was Spyder's concern when she said the band was playing too fast.

They did SO much better this year than the year before. I think sending them that letter was extremely helpful.

Word. I agree. They've only played for dancers a few times and they've improved greatly each time.

Great Basin Street Band is also an aswesome band! They are a little more of a Dixie Land sound. They are a smaller group of the Salt Lake City Swing Orchestra.

We had Nate Anderson's band play at the Skillet and they were amazing! I just wish the vocalist had a louder amp.
